RAW nest: Bangladesh's new 'Embassy' in Kabul or Indian listening post

By: Moin Ansari

While Delhi is losing its battle with Pakistan in Afghanistan–it is focusing its attention in Bangladesh. First it engineered a judicial coup which allowed the Awami League to win. 14 million BNP supporter voters were disenfranchised. Then the Jamaat e Islami was banned by Hasina Wajed. Now the Awami League has given transit trade facilities to Bharat–a move that has been resisted by Bangladeshi patriots for the past several decades.
The Awami League is opening an embassy in Kabul. Is this an embassy or an Indian listening post?
  • A team comprising very senior officials of Bangladesh have visited Indian embassy located in Kabul.
  • India would also provide staff in Bangladesh embassy.
  • The staff of the Bangladeshi embassy has been trained by New Delhi.
  • Indian Intelligence has already got ingress in Bangladesh foreign office and same tactics will be adopted while launching of new embassy in Afghanistan.
  • Government should keep her eyes open on Bangladesh embassy when it starts working.
  • RAW agents may comfortably use this embassy as their shelter while fomenting terrorism in Pakistan, Iran, China and Afghanistan.
On July 31 Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni in Dhaka stated that we have decided to reopen Bangladesh embassy in Afghanistan shortly. The process has been initiated and good news will be shared. According to the minister an official team will visit Kabul to select the mission building offered by Afghanistan. Bangladesh mission in Kabul was shut down sometime in 1989. Bangladesh embassy or consulates would be opened in Brazil, Nigeria, Sudan, Sierra Leone and Portugal. Presently, Bangladesh has 47 missions abroad. She said it is necessary to expand Bangladesh missions abroad considering the interest of Bangladeshi citizens living there and enhancing economic cooperation.
Reportedly, staff of the Bangladeshi embassy has been trained by New Delhi. A team comprising very senior officials of Bangladesh have visited Indian embassy located in Kabul. There are reports that India would also provide staff in Bangladesh embassy. In fact Indian Intelligence has already got ingress in Bangladesh foreign office and same tactics will be adopted while launching of new embassy in Afghanistan. Government should keep her eyes open on Bangladesh embassy when it starts working. Since there are chances that RAW agents may comfortably use this embassy as their shelter while fomenting terrorism in Pakistan, Iran, China and Afghanistan. It is also point of concern amongst true Bangladeshi people that sitting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid is trying to religious touch from the society and also has more orientation in establishing the closest ties with India. She has recently issued instructions for the removal of Islamic Books written by famous scholar Madoodi. She has also put the local leaders behind the bar, who were protesting against her un-Islamic thoughts.
The Bangladesh Supreme Court’s judgment nullifying the 5th Amendment to the Constitution enacted in 1977 is seen as a milestone in restoring the constitutional course of the nation’s history.
Bangladesh supreme court under the influence of present government nullified 5th amendment which was incorporated in the constitution in General Ziaur Rahman’s tenure. Reportedly, Mrs. Hasina has already constituted a 15-member parliamentary committee to draft a vital amendment in view of the Supreme Court’s ruling. The main theme has been given to the committee to promote secularism which means end of Islamic culture in Bangladesh. According to the media reports and reliable recourses Mrs. Hasina has instructed to his staff to close the chapter of water and border conflicts with India. In fact we can say that Hasina Wajid again started Honey Moon Period of relationship with India. The survey conducted by a local agency revealed that 98% Bangladesh are not ready to leave un-Islamic culture on the name of secularism. They also hate undue interference of India in Bangladesh affairs. In short Mrs. Hasina Wajid seems to be under grave influence of RAW since the agency helped her in coming into power again. She will not able to refuse her masters for using embassies against Pakistan, China, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. Mrs. Hasina graph as popular political leaders is also speedily falling down because of her Indian tilting policies.
NOTE:This is a cross post from Pakistan Patriot.

  1. what can India gain from a Bangladeshi consulate that it has not already gained (or lost) by having its consulates in Afganistan.

unfortunately for muslims in Bangladesh, and us, (as they were a part of us once), Hasina Wajid is trying to continue where her father was cut off of the Indian agenda.

But thats their government. they can do whatever they can. Thing to think about is what we are going to do in this regard.

India's stay in Afganistan is a lost cause. just like its a lost cause for US/NATO alliance there.

they will all leave there one day insha'Allah with their tail between their legs.

  2. The more influence India has over neighboring countries, the better for her. Influence can impact foreign policy, of a country. So, if India has influence on Bangladesh, and ingress in the Embassy in Cabul, the more the tentacles, the better!

  3. I share two mails here:
1- Mr Rauf: No surprise on this while Hasina is in power, There are many Institutioons
in Bangladesh are quite well patronized by RAW. Also another issue of
i.e. smuggling Bengalis from Bangladesh via India to Pakistan. These
fellows could be West Bengalis disguised as Bangladeshis.
2-Mr Majyd:INDIA JUST GAVE A ONE BILLION DOLLARS LOAN TO BANGLADESH.
    QUID PR QUO??

  4. The Bangladesh Embassy in Afghanistan will be a satellite Indian Embassy. At present India is only speaking against Pakistan;now thtere will be two.Pakistan can counter this by asking Sri Lanka to open an Embassy as well;to counter Banladeshi Propaganda.

  5. India,is reassessing its approach to the war-torn country. Its vision, a kind of regional "concert of powers" with Russia and Iran, would not only protect India's interests in Afghanistan in the short term but could help stabilize the country in the long term after U.S. troops leave.India worries that Washington is moving too fast and leaving the door open for Pakistan to increase its influence in the country.
So you are correct Inam, the Bangladesh Embassy will be a Satellite for India.

  6. This is His masters voice ..a step forward for ..New world order...They {India,Isreal ,USA} are struggling to create more problems for Pakistan..Their main focus is Pakistan.America & Israel are encouraging India to attack Pakistan at the time of NATO & Us departure from Afghanistan..Hassina is inviting a revolution in Bengladesh ,majority of Bangladeshi muslims are not stupid & they will stand up against her soon.

Pakistani think tank must be monitoring the grave situation I suppose.

For India..No problem,,because she is most greedy country in the world ,Greediness is cures,,more she becomes greedy more she will face the division, disintegrety & violnce.India must fulfill her promises for the ,Right of self determination ,for Kashmiris, she must not interfere in the internal matters of her neighbouring countries on the behest of supper powers in order to become a supper power ...

  7. I have seen Bengalis from a very close working quarter. Then and even now I maintain that a Bengali(now BD) is only good when dead vs Pakistan.
No point in discussing them since we have short memory as a Nation, they will be the same. I am witiness to The complete Trail of Sh Mujib and hunreds of victim families at the hands of Begalis. Late Gen AO Mitha has mentioned in his book only one sizzling event of it which shakes the reader up side down.I have already written in Jang and intend writing more details as to what Bangali did to my Pakistan and how inhuman they were as a human quality.
At least I place a Bengali (BD) correctly vs Pakistan. a Bengali is only good when dead vs Pakistan.

PS: Many can give thousands reasons to justify but to me the only reason matters what they did to Pakistan with the planing in India. Should I say ZAB was equally to be blamed, it may be true to some extent. This all is on record in the court of Gen Rahim uddin which conducted the trail at Faisalabad(then called Layalpure)

  8. The ineptness of our Foreign Office (filled with Safarishees) is clearly revealed here. It seems that they have lost Bangladesh to India. It does not surprise me that our policies are short sighted as we have left the foreign affairs in the hands of bureaucrats instead of professionals in the Geo Strategic profession.

  9. Indian-BD nexus certainly needs to be carefully watched, especially while Haseena's party is in power in Dhaka. India is all out to exploit her dislike for Pakistan. Today India has announced 1 Billion dollar loan / aid for BD. This is reported to be the biggest single aid package in Indian history.
